Back to full-(free) time

Yoo it's me hana-mo!

I've been very very busy these days, but I think now is a good time to resume my work with the novel as my vacations are over since a bit, and work doesn't require me that much, so as before I'll be writing/designing/whatevs whenever I'm free! Yaaay...! (Help)

However, although not that noticeable, I've actually made some progress in the game. I have been designing and coding a menu, which has been pretty hard for me considering that I have basically no idea about programming and had to make it so that only the parts of the character's bios that are known show up in their respective slots. (Yeah I know, a bit confusing so here, have an image sample!)

As you can see there, the description, the ability, and the character's tarot card are all blocked separately, and on the bottom left corner the hearts indicate your real relationship points with each of them (Some people thought the points that were going up or down in conversations were their points towards each route/love interest, but no, those are only ramifications that change what characters tell you in the script, or will only have an impact in the near future.)

The button is almost transparent, and will be sitting at the top right corner of the screen once you unlock a card of a player in the game (I chose a black background as the showcase so that it's easier to see)

Obviously by hovering it changes-

And when clicking brings up the menu where the first image shown will be located, the tarot deck-

This is all a work in progress (for example I'll try some things to change the white background of the menu) but as you can see it is not that different from normal, heart icon popup, relationship menus, only that this one is for all important characters including those who are not romanceable, which I think, will have no hearts in their profile. (Not sure about that yet~)

On that note, I hated how the sex scene ended up, even knowing that it was a test in a bad ending with a side character, so I'll only write c.development until a character has had enough to warrant a scene like that one, like other games/visual novels which have a lot of experience doing these and probably know a thing or two about romance.

(By the way thanks to the user that checked up [F95 Post] and to those of you that messaged me and donated via itch, I didn't believe anyone would be interested in the game's progress taking into account that I haven't written any interesting plot points yet!~)

My target with the next update is 3000-4000 lines of code or more (For reference, the game is currently 4000 lines long) So I have a lot of work ahead, hopefully this is the last "Slice of Life" update and I can get to fights and so on soon.

That is it for now, have a nice day~!
